Empowering Youth Through Education and Leadership

Sadio Comrie-Thomas is a dynamic figure in the fields of education, motivational speaking, and community leadership. Her journey towards empowering youth and fostering academic excellence began during her undergraduate years at York College, where she majored in English and discovered her passion for education.

Driven by her desire to make a difference, Sadio pursued a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education at Long Island University, laying the foundation for her career as an educator and advocate for youth empowerment.

Before founding her own programs, Sadio gained valuable experience in education through classroom observations and fieldwork. Additionally, she dedicated herself to serving the needs of the developmentally disabled community while working full-time for the InterAgency Council. As a consultant for various non-profit organizations in the Greater New York City area, she identified a pressing need within urban communities and set out to address it.

In 2009, Sadio took the bold step of founding The Road to Higher Education, a program aimed at empowering students from grades 7 to 12 to excel academically and prepare for future careers. Recognizing the importance of holistic development, she established Youth Summit On The Move, LLC, a startup organization dedicated to serving youth in her church and community.

Through these initiatives, Sadio has tirelessly worked to equip students with the skills and resources needed to succeed academically and beyond. Her program has been instrumental in helping students improve their learning skills, grades, and readiness for higher education and career opportunities.

Continuing her commitment to youth advocacy, Sadio has recently expanded her reach by earning certifications in both School Building and District Leadership. These certifications reflect her dedication to leading positive change within educational institutions and furthering her impact on youth empowerment.
